The Bexar County Sheriff's Office is trying to figure out how a man shot and killed himself while being booked into jail. The Medical Examiner hasn't officially determined 19-year-old Jesus Gonzales's cause of death. But Sheriff Javier Salazar says Gonzales shot himself in the booking area at the jail on North Comal Street. Gonzales had been arrested for domestic violence, and he reportedly shot himself during a strip-search with a gun that Salazar says should have been found on him earlier.
