The University Interscholastic League is denying the appeal to move two San Antonio high schools out of their realigned district. The UIL announced its realignment for the 2024-2026 school years on February 1st, after which time schools could appeal their assigned district. Harlandale and McCollum High Schools petitioned to join District 12-5A D-Two, but the UIL said no. Five other schools in Texas are also appealing, including Lufkin, Angleton, Houston Spring Woods, Victoria West, and Smithville.
