The Toyota plant in San Antonio is marking its 20th year in the city. There was a 20th anniversary celebration on Wednesday at the plant, which has 9,400 employees with high-paying jobs. Over the years, Toyota has given more than 50-million-dollars to local nonprofits. The company has awarded thousands of dollars in grants to Texas A&M-San Antonio, which is next door to the plant. The money supports the Institute for School and Community Partnerships, which boosts STEM education in local school districts.
