City officials in Eagle Pass and El Paso have their hands full with thousands of migrants who have crossed from Mexico in the past few days. Both cities are swamped with new arrivals as immigration officials release many of them into the border towns. Eagle Pass Mayor Rolando Salinas Jr. signed an emergency declaration on Tuesday night in an effort to get state funding to deal with the problem. The next day, about 25-hundred more migrants arrived.
