The Astros were blown out in their series finale against the Red Sox. Houston fell to Boston 17-1 at Minute Maid Park. Starting pitcher J.P. France was charged his fifth loss after he allowed 10 earned runs in just over two innings. Alex Bregman drove in Houston's lone run of the game on an RBI single in the fifth inning. The 16-run deficit matched the largest in Houston franchise history. The Astros are tied for second in the AL West at 72-and-57.
