ERCOT Issues Warning About Power Usage As Temperatures Stay Hot

The state's power regulator is warning Texans about possible outages and asking for conservation. ERCOT issued a warning last night about a possible reserve capacity shortage that could lead to outages. ERCOT is asking Texans to conserve as much power as possible between 2 and 8 p.m. today. The warning comes as temperatures in the Rio Grande Valley are expected to remain between 98 and 108 degrees today and tomorrow.
