Shootout Between Retired Officers Leaves One Dead

A shootout between two retired officers in Kerr County has ended in the death of a retired Houston police officer. The Kerr County Sheriff's Department says the shootout happened in the Horizon subdivision in the 500 block of Honor Drive. The two apparently got into an argument and both pulled out guns. 68-year-old retired Houston police officer Mart Hanna died in the shooting. The other man, a 71-year-old retired U.S. Customers officer was not hurt. No arrests have been made. The case will be turned over to a grand jury to investigate.
