Largest Local School Districts Won't Follow Recommendation To Go Virtual

San Antonio's largest school districts say they have no plans to return to 100% virtual learning. Metro Health issued a new directive on Tuesday recommending remote learning instead of classroom instruction because of increasing numbers of coronavirus cases. But city and county leaders don't have the authority to enforce the recommendation. Officials with San Antonio ISD, Northeast ISD, and Northside ISD say students who are already on campus will be allowed to stay there, because schools are observing pandemic protocols.
