Gov. Greg Abbott appears ready to ease pandemic restrictions in Texas, since the numbers are improving. Abbott pointed out that hospitalizations are down since his most recent restriction orders in July, and said he hopes to provide an update next week about what happens next. He says the two figures he's keying on are hospitalizations and the positivity rate. Hospitalizations are just over four-thousand now, down from nearly 11-thousand in late July, and the positivity rate dipped below ten-percent this week for the first time since June.
