Hurricane Laura Leaves Gulf Coast Damage

Hurricane Laura made landfall shortly after 1am on Thursday as a Category 4 hurricane. The storm slammed the southeast Texas and Louisiana coast line causing major damage and leaving hundreds of thousands without power.

One death has been reported in Leesburg Louisiana where a tree fell on a home killing a 14 year-old girl. Search and rescue teams are deployed, but so far there have been no reports of widespread fatalities.
