SAPOA Urges Amazon To Stop Selling "Blue Lives Murder" Shirts

The San Antonio Police Officers Association is calling for Amazon to remove shirts it says are a form of hate speech.

The shirts have the saying "Blue Lives Murder" and one has the depiction of a police officer with a baton raised to hit a pair of outstretched hands.

The organization said, "selling incendiary shirts like these is not only an insult to police officers, but a form of hate speech that foments violence against them. Shirts with messages like this do nothing to bring our community together and only serve to further divide us."

In a tweet to Amazon the San Antonio Police Association said, "SAPOA calls on you to remove these shirts on behalf of all police officers and the people we serve and protect every day."
