The San Antonio Fire Department is reporting its first firefighter to test positive for the coronavirus. The department learned of the firefighter's positive test on Monday. He was last on the job a week ago, and went to a doctor last Friday after showing symptoms. Fire department officials are making sure everybody who interacted with the firefighter is screened and if necessary, tested for the virus. Work areas and equipment are being sanitized.
