The Texas Department of Transportation plans to upgrade several stretches of I-35 and its feeder roads in the New Braunfels city limits. The improvements are planned for the intersections of I-35 with FM 306, Conrads Lane, Kohlenberg Road, and others. Some of the work is already underway, but funding still needs to be arranged for the other projects. The work is expected to be completed in the spring of 2023 at a cost of about 100-million-dollars.
