Texas Inmate's Execution Delayed

The execution of Texas inmate Rodney Reed is being delayed. The Texas Court of Criminal Appeals issued a stay Friday, just hours after the state's parole board recommended Governor Greg Abbott halt the execution by 120 days. Reed was convicted of killing a young woman more than 20 years ago, but there are claims new evidence will prove his innocence. Reed was scheduled to be executed next Wednesday. Big name celebrities and politicians had been calling on Governor Abbott to spare Reed's life.
