Police: Stab Victim Was Knocking on Doors Looking for Help

Police say a woman who was suffering serious stab wounds was knocking on doors in her south side neighborhood overnight, trying to find somebody to call for help, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

The woman, in her fifties, had been stabbed and her throat was cut in what detectives say was a domestic dispute in a home in the 200 block of West Theo, which is just west of Conception Park.

Police say a man beat up the woman, then grabbed a knife and stabbed her in the shoulder and cut her throat.

He ran away, but police know who is is.The woman is being treated for critical injuries.
