Two San Antonians on 2017 List of America's Most Influential Evangelicals

Two prominent San Antonians are on Mewsmax's list of the 100 most influential evangelicals in America today, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

Cornerstone Church founder and Senior Pastor John Hagee ranks number 13 on the list.  Newsmax credits Hagee's large congregation, as well as his televised broadcasts which are seen worldwide.

Max Lucado, the pastor of Oak Hills Church and a best selling author, is number 76 on the list.  He is credited with selling 80 million books worldwide and has been recognized for his influence by Reader's Digest and the New York Times.

Texans do well in the latest list of the most influential evangelicals.  Joel Osteen, the pastor of Lakewood Church in Houston, ranks number three, right behind Christian icon Billy Graham and his son, Franklin Graham, who rank number one and number two.

Also on the list are Dallas pastors T.D. Jakes and Robert Jeffress, Texas Biblical scholar David Barton, and Dallas Mavericks team chaplain Dr. Tony Evans.

You don't have to be a pastor to be on the list of the most influential evangelicals.  Also on the list are Vice President Mike Pence, former Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin, actor Kirk Cameron, and singer Pat Boone.
