When the nominations come in for Father of the Year, don't expect this guy to be on it.
News Radio 1200 WOAI reports a man was involved in a one vehicle wreck overnight, and he left a five year old girl, bleeding and with a broken leg, in the back seat while he ran away.
Police say the man was attempting to exit Loop 1604 at Blanco Road but he misjudged the exit and drove his pickup off the bridge.
The pickup fell onto the main lanes of Loop 1604.
Then the driver ran out, leaving the little girl in the truck.
She was taken to the hospital and is listed in stable condition.The runaway driver remains at large.
