Police say a man was rushed to the hospital in extremely critical condition after being shot by a man who was moving in on his girlfriend, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Officers were called to the Indian Hollow Apartments at West Ave and Wurzbach Parkway about 3:30 AM by a man who said he had just shot a man he had invited to his apartment.
The suspect told police he had invited the victim and his girlfriend in for drinks.
When the victim left the room, the girlfriend began moving in on the host, and they moved into thee bedroom. When the boyfriend returned and saw what was happening, he allegedly started pounding on the locked bedroom door.
Police said the apartment resident told them he felt afraid for his safety and pulled a gun and shot the victim in the chest.
The apartment resident is being questioned. the woman at the center of all this ran away.
